Designed & Built Organic Garden

A self-sufficient permaculture garden in the village of Bolaimi

As part of the revitalization of the ecovillage in Bolaimi, we designed and implemented an organic garden as an integral element of the village’s ecological strategy. The garden serves productive, environmental, and educational purposes, responding to the semi-arid climate of Andalusia.

Key project objectives:

  • Integration with water management: The garden is directly linked to a proprietary
    graywater and rainwater recovery system.
  • Efficient irrigation: Thanks to gravity-fed solutions and special tanks, filtered
water from washing machines and showers flows directly to the root zones of
    fruit trees.
  • Adaptation to a semi-arid climate: The selection of drought-resistant species
allows for the creation of a local microclimate, reduces evaporation, and protects
    the soil from erosion.
  • Closed material cycle: Organic waste from the farm is composted and reused,
eliminating the need for artificial fertilizers. Educational function: The garden
space provides an educational facility for residents and workshop participants,
    supporting regenerative agriculture practices.

The project demonstrates that it is possible to create a productive organic garden
in the Comarca de Los Vélez region, adapted to the local climate.

Portfolio Options

  • Design and implementation of a bio-garden integrated with the on-site water recovery system
  • Selection of drought-resistant plant species adapted to the semi-arid climate of Los Vélez
  • Development of a closed-loop, zero-waste cultivation system supporting regenerative agriculture
